Call for Committees – 2009 Code Technology Committee and 2009 Councils
The International Code Council is currently accepting applications for the following Codes & Standards Committees:
ICC Code Technology Committee (CTC). The objective of this committee is to provide a single forum where pressing issues of new technology as well as other contemporary issues and concepts surrounding the current code provisions can be thoroughly and comprehensively discussed. The ICC Board determines the issues to be considered by the CTC. To date, the ICC Board has approved eight areas of study/investigation. For more information on the activities of the CTC, click here.
At this time, ICC is receiving applications to fill expired terms of CTC members. Current CTC members whose term expires December 31, 2008 must reapply to be considered for re-appointment. Code Technology Committee members are considered for appointment by the Steering Committee on Councils, with final approval resting with the ICC Board of Directors. Click here for an application. Travel required. The CTC typically holds 4 – 6, two-day meetings per year. ICC Governmental Member Representatives are authorized to travel at ICC’s expense when participating at CTC meetings. All others are responsible for funding their participation on this committee. Term: 3 years; January 1, 2009 – December 31, 2011.

ICC Councils. The ICC Councils are responsible for the implementation and management of ICC Codes and Standards Development and related activities. The four Councils also review applications for appointment consideration for the majority of the ICC Codes and Standards committees. Council Policy #09 governs the IBCC, IFCC and IMPCC.
