Code Council’s green building findings
to be included in international book

The International Code Council’s green building white paper, written by Staff Architect Allan Bilka, will be included in a green building book by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) titled Green Building: An Introduction. The book is a professional reference.

The Code Council’s green building white paper provides an overview of the current green building climate, tracks the green building efforts of various organizations, and provides a general background for those interested in green building and the relationship of green building and the International Codes.

The Code Council also supports green building through it's Policy Position on Green/Sustainable Communities, involvement in the development of a National Green Building Standard, a working agreement with the U.S. Green Building Council to further green building practices and more.

ICFAI is a non-profit organization involved, primarily, in imparting quality education. Presently, ICFAI offers more than 50 programs in almost all subjects of contemporary interest and utility. Green Building: An Introduction is expected to publish in May.

The International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. Building safety codes used in most U.S. cities, counties and states that adopt construction safety codes are developed by the International Code Council.
